Introduction

“The Young Icebreakers are a dynamic network who are committed to developing joint programmes and positive relations between the young people of both the UK and China to create the next generation of pioneers and business leaders”

The Young Icebreakers were founded in London on the 31st of January 2009 by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and the 48 Group Club. Their dream is to bring together and equip the young people of their Countries with the opportunity to engage in high level international business development, building long term sustainable relationships for the future.

With China emerging as the next global super power, their young elite will be amongst the next generation of world leaders. With the help of our founders the Young Icebreakers have already established links and carried out exchanges with a number of these pioneers. It is these relationships that we intend to build on to create opportunities for Scotland’s future success and prosperity.

Making sure Scotland’s next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators and business leaders have the edge on the international stage is our primary goal. We believe an understanding and experience of business in China and strong relationships with a world class peer group of similarly focused Chinese is key to this competitive advantage.

Through their association with the Young Icebreakers in Scotland, participants and their supporting companies will have access to an unparalleled network of business leaders and politicians from across China and the UK. By engaging with this programme we will be equipping our young elite, to realise this vision.
